What an enchanted night and an honor to attend the opening of The Museum at FIT’s Fairy Tale Fashion, open now until April 16, 2016. A single 3-D printed “Cinderella shoe” by Noritaka Tatehana, a crystal “poisoned apple” bag by Judith Leiber, and a deconstructed Red Riding Hood cloak by Comme des Garçon, are just a few of objects on display. Fashion is the medium through which these designers have channeled fables and fantasy into tangible luxury. To learn more about this exhibit click here.
At Garde Robe, we love to see both classic and fantastical couture pieces preserved with the utmost care— and that’s a fairy tale ending for us!
